Introducing Ask RealYield: One Question, a Panel of Specialists, and a Page That Builds Itself

Most property websites make you find the answer. You pick a menu, guess a page, scan for the paragraph that applies to you, then repeat. We have spent the summer building something different. Ask RealYield starts with your question and builds the page around it.

It is live now at realyield.co.uk/ask. Here is what it does, how it works, and the part we care most about: where the answers come from.

Why we changed it

Earlier this year we launched three AI advisor chats: a property expert, a tax advisor and a mortgage broker. People used them, and the feedback was useful. Two things kept coming up.

First, real questions do not sort themselves into one specialism. "Is this flat a good deal?" is a yield question, a leasehold question, a stress test question and a Section 24 question at the same time. Picking one advisor meant getting one angle.

Second, a chat answer disappears. You read a good explanation, close the tab, and the next time you have to ask again. Nothing accumulated.

So we replaced all three with one entry point, a panel that answers together, and a page that keeps what was useful.

How it works

You ask one question in plain English. Anything from "how does Section 24 change my tax bill" to "is a £180k flat in Manchester at £1,100 a month a good deal".

Behind the question box, three things happen in a single pass.

The library is read. We pull the records that match your question from our content: the articles, glossary terms, calculators and area data that bear on what you asked. For a typical question that is around twenty to thirty records out of several hundred.

The panel convenes. Between one and three specialists answer, each in their own voice and from their own angle. They do not repeat each other. If a question is purely about tax, only the tax advisor speaks.
